Pre-Elite Squadron Announcement + Change!

Since the creation of the Pal Universe™, there has been a rule that there can’t be more than three Elites and three Pre-Elites. While there are currently only two Elites, there are FOUR Pre-Elites.

First off, why is this rule necessary?

Well, the goal of the OG Pals is to keep most of the Pals in the Average Squadron. This is so there won’t be too many Pals in higher ranks. For example, if you think of the OGs, Colonel-General, and Elites as the government, then the Average Pals would just be normal citizens. You wouldn’t want there to be more government officials than citizens, right?

However, right now there are four Pre-Elites, more than allowed. To keep the Pre-Elites at their normal amount, the OG Pals have approved a new rule:

From now on, if there is an excess of Elites or Pre-Elites, or if a new Pal is promoted, the oldest member of that rank is demoted.

For example, right now, the Pre-Elites are—Chantelle, Maya, Luke, and Tariq. Since Chantelle is the oldest Pre-Elite, she would be demoted.

However, since she only has one point left to advance to Elite, if she commits a good deed before the end of the month, she’ll be promoted to Elite and NO ONE will be demoted.

The new rule will be implemented by February 1st, 2019.

The New Pal Anthem

A vote today arose some questions and arguments.

The current Pal Universe™ Anthem, to the tune of Lucid Dreams by JuiceWRLD, goes:
Welcome to the Pal Universe™
Can’t take back your Pal membership
We’re a team of unified Pals
And fighting for justice
So come join the Pal Universe™

Since Lucid Dreams is slightly out-of-date to the current popular selection of music, a vote as to which song would be the new tune of the anthem was held. The four choices possible were:

Thank u, Next
Ariana Grande
7 Rings
Ariana Grande
Keep it as Lucid Dreams
JuiceWRLD
Other
(not Hello World or Muffin Time)

However, this caused some chaos.

After Pal #11, Tricky T, suggested the Caillou theme song, suddenly two more Pals agreed. They were Pals with, well, strong opinions. One of them kept suggesting Caillou, and the other even wrote up the lyrics to the tune of the Caillou theme song.

There are issues with the Caillou theme song.

First of all, the anthem represents the Universe™ and the Pals in it, meaning if the anthem was to be the Caillou theme song tune, it would give others the impression that Pals are bratty, stupid, annoying, and bald.

Secondly, Caillou is a Fiendling of the Pal Universe™, and Fiendlings cannot be tolerated in any way. Therefore, the Caillou theme song is no longer an option. There will be a re-vote on either 7 Rings or Thank u, Next since those two songs received the most votes.

A Mysterious Betrayal?!

On January 16th, 2019, a mysterious and alarming betrayal occurred. THE PAL BLOG WAS HACKED!

It was Mope.io who discovered it first. While browsing the blog, she discovered a new post titled… *drumroll please*

“ur stupid”

It had been published under the account @thepaluniverse, (my account). However, we were in school at the time, so I never actually posted it. Which could only mean one thing:

Someone hacked the blog.

After analyzing the evidence, the OG Pals have come to the conclusion that it must be William (Figure) and Tariq (Tricky T), based on five reasons:

  1. It couldn’t have been a stranger or they wouldn’t have known about the Pal Universe™ and our blog.
  2. Not all the Pals know about the blog either, only William, Tariq, Melina, Samantha, Chantelle, and a few others.
  3. The hacking was at 2:00–meaning we were in school. While Mope.io and I were working on our ‘Twas the Night project, William and Tariq were fooling around on the blog.
  4. The old password (we changed it) was based off a certain character only William knew about by browsing his wiki.
  5. Lastly, only William would use the word “ur” instead of the grammatically correct version “you’re”. Also, as demonstrated by his short stay on the Hangouts chat and his YouTube channel, he types all in lowercase.

When confronting them today at school, they both denied the hacking. Luckily the OG Pals have changed the blog password so they can no longer hack us. But why would they do it? No one knows…

It’s totally not the fact that they were banned from singing Hello World. Pro tip: If you want to sing Hello World without getting demoting, please sing “Yellow World” instead, as a reference to Humpty Dumpty Yellow. Extra points if you sing it to Brayden and he’s wearing his yellow hoodie.

The OG Pals have some exciting news! As of the seventeenth of January, there will be a Pal currency coming! Clicking the link below will allow you to learn more; but here’s a rough explanation. There are three coins. Gold is worth $1 CAD, silver is worth $5 CAD, and bronze is worth $10 CAD. Read the Pal Blog article below to learn more!

💠 THE COLONEL-GENERAL

The dramatic four-way colonel-general test results have been announced… Tariq (Pal #11) or Tricky T came in last place with a score of 8 out of 19. Next in line was Samantha (Pal #12) or Macaron, who came SO CLOSE to first! She obtained 12 out of 19. Melina (Pal #8) or Idiot, as well as William (Pal #3) or Figure, TIED. They both got 13 out of 19. However, after the second test on Google Forms, the true winner has been revealed—congrats to Pal#8 (Idiot) or Melina for winning the Colonel-General Test! It was definitely a tough choice, but you came out on top!

Hi Pals! How’s your New Year going? The challenge will be to submit an imawginary story about Mylo dying. The one with the best storyline and wording wins!

Colonel-General Results & Tiebreaker Questions

The recent Colonel-General test has had surprising results– here are the scores:

4th place- Tariq (Tricky T) with a score of 8/19

3rd place- Samantha (Macaron) with a score of 12/19

TIED for 1st place- William (Figure) AND Melina (Idiot) both with a score of 13/19!!!

To settle their tie once and for all, the OG Pals have decided to make a quiz on Google Forms.

💠 THE NEW GOD

Since Mylo Voskanik has become a fiendling, four Pals have stepped up and offered to make their pets the new god. With the vote that took place on the seventh of January, it is determined that Yoshi is now the winner. Congrats to the new god of mentalness and tiredness!

💠 THE COLONEL-GENERAL

The Four-Way Colonel-General Test

As there are four Pals in the Elite Squadron (which can’t be allowed; there can only be three), there is definitely going to be a grand four-way test held. Each current Elite Squadron member must take their own test consisting of ten questions– eight about the Universe™ and what they’d like to do as Colonel-General, and the other two, bonus questions to test their general knowledge. It’s possible one of you Elites are currently looking at the blog to see how you can study for the test…

There are many ways you can do this. The OG Pals will not give you direct practice questions or anything of the sort. Instead, you will have to gather the study material yourself. Because you won’t know what will be on the test until the moment you have the test, the OG Pals recommend reading through every edition of the Pal Magazine™ and reading it carefully. You never know– one of the things mentioned in an edition could count for a lot of marks on the test!

Here are some other ways you can study for the test.

💠 Read about the gods on the blog.

💠 Look at their every traits and memorize them well.

💠 Stay up-to-date by reading the conversations spoken by the Pals in the Hangouts group chat.

💠 Ask the OG Pals with kindness and respect (and a salute!) if you can borrow the Pal Handbook to look at. This may be a huge tool.

💠 Again, read the Magazine™. It will also have great importance.

Since Mylo Voskanik has become a Fiendling, four Pals have already stepped up and offered to make their pets the new gods. We have Yoshi, Idiot’s dog, as a candidate, as well as Billy (Crispy Peach’s dog), Zoey (Dance’s dog), and Melanie (Macaron’s cat). A vote will be held sometime in early January to find the winner. 💠 NEW YEAR’S

Happy New Year to all the Pals! We’re already into the third day of January. Unbelievable! As the first challenge of the year, all Pals have been requested to create a story in which Mylo dies. This is a contest, and the winner will receive 3 strikes off, or if they have no strikes, 2 points.

💠 THE CANDIDATES

Although it’s been a couple of weeks, don’t forget the Pal of the Week award! Idiot or Pal #8, aka Melina, won the prestigious award last time. To gain the award, commit acts of kindness towards the Pal Universe™! Another way to increase your chance of winning is to commit acts of disrespect towards all Pal Haters, Zoep You Group members, and Fiendlings. Another option is to add a god suggestion.

💠 FOUR-WAY TEST

The four-way test that will determine the new colonel-general will take place in early January as well. The four Pals running for the test– we at the Pal Magazine HQ are crossing our fingers for you! Study and train hard to ensure that you are the FIRST colonel-general of 2019!

💠 THE COLONEL-GENERAL

A betrayal by Pal#3, Figure, the Colonel-General, has occurred once more today. Because of the many times he has been traitorous to them, the OG Pals have decided to demote him. Since there are now 4 Elites, which cannot be allowed, there will be a 4-way test in January to determine the new Colonel-General. Only Elites may do this. Good luck to Pal #8, Idiot; Pal #12, Macaron; Pal #11, Tricky T; and the betraying Pal #3, Figure. We will announce the winners the same day the tests are taken!

💠 A RECONSIDERATION

The OG Pals have spotted the god Mylo Voskanik multiple times being foolish, rude, and stupid. They have been reconsidering his place as a god and have kicked him out of his position, now making him and his squad Fiendlings. The Universe™ needs a new god to replace Mylo! The OG Pals are working hard in search of a new one. In the meantime, you can help by looking for another as well, but there are three pre-requisites. Firstly, the new god must not be in Mme. Pollock or Meredith’s class and cannot be the same age as us. Second, he/she must have a power and use to the Universe™. Lastly, it is important that the new god remains loyal throughout.
